Couples Month: “He loves me, he loves me not” Workshop

It feels like it was yesterday when we just hosted our first ever Shy & Curious collaborative workshop, we blinked, lo and behold, it’s now April and we’re popping yet another cherry – our first solo relationship workshop!

When Karen from The Della HQ approached us with the idea of conducting a workshop to celebrate Couples Month, my initial reaction was imminent Imposter Syndrome. I remember asking her “Urm, are you sure you got the right person? I’m not sure if I’m qualified to talk about being in a successful relationship…”

Then a lightbulb went over my head.

“Oh, but I’m definitely overqualified in understanding all about being anxious, moody, clingy and basically a stranger to myself when I’m looking for love. Let’s start from there!”

Voila, that’s how a workshop was born.

“He loves me, he loves me not”:
Identify your attachment style to improve your relationships

Ever wondered why despite being strong and independent, you can’t help but feel like a helpless love struck teen whenever you start dating someone great? Do you find yourself self-sabotaging your relationships by either hanging on too tight or feeling turned off and running away when it starts to get serious?

How we were raised as children may hold the key to our adult romantic relationships through the research of attachment theory. Join me as we examine in this informal support group:

• What is Attachment theory
• Anxious, Avoidant and Secure Styles and their characteristics
• Identifying your and your partner’s style
• Recognising your own triggers and thought patterns in a relationship
• How to communicate effectively with opposing styles

While it sounds like there will be a lot of theory, I like to keep it informal and a safe space for discussion, questions and sharing (if you choose to). If you know me through just my writing, then I can assure you I’m exactly the same in real life 😉
